Now I seem to understand why the Australian government has praised their high voter turnouts. It doesn't matter if the ballot is formal or not, if people just turn out and cast it, it makes it easier for them to say they their citizens are just happy come out to support the system. Lord, the egotism of your government sounds absolutely wretched.

@MrEniena Late reply - there's a specific way you have to fill out the electoral ballot, and if you don't do it properly, it doesn't count. So all you have to do is tick the wrong boxes.
