An absoute gem - so much melody and naasha. Suman-ji is excellent and of course there are no words to describe the genius of Mohd Rafi sahab. Whenever I am depressed and life seems a burden, I listen to Rafi sahab and am reminded again that there is so much beauty and divinty in life.

He was an amid fan and close friend of Madan Mohan. Jahan Ara was also the last major Talat film with his superhits. Unfortunately, the film became a bureacratic / political / historical quagmire and in just 4 days, taken off theatres. Madan Mohan got depressed after that. Jahan Ara songs were his favorites and so are mine.
