I wonder if the person who sent you the first email ever heard of CS or CS:S. I used to play competitively in both games over a decade ago and they're both still going strong. Maybe it's age or interests but when I think e-sport I always think of Street Fighter and Counter Strike. That could very well be personal bias against starcraft because even as someone who took part in professional PC FPS play I still find starcraft to be far too twitchy competitively and thusly don't like watching it.

Because nintendo LIVES on first party games (IE mario, zelda, metroid, etc) and they are nintendo property. For example; Zelda. Why can't you hold down RMB to go aim mode and use the mouse? Up and down swings can be done with the mouse aswell... Same for touch pad. And GW2 is all PC gamers will need this year anyway :).

A touch screen based tablet input device can easily be turned into a keyboard based controller. Imagine a tablet key board UI that allow you to not only delete keys you usually don't use, rearrange the 1 - 9 hot key in a manner that fit your hand, and add additional "key" that is a combination of keystrokes. I really don't see how a touch screen controller is not feasible for gaming, we just need some companies to start up the integration between the systems.

I mean, just look at the current state of PC gaming. Many AAA games are only semi-decent ports that come out months after their console counterparts. For the most part this is made up for by many stellar indie titles, but still, those games don't have big names behind them. Many people think that PC gaming is dead, (obviously not true) and as such, they've moved to consoles or mobile markets to pick up the slack. Publishers go where they smell money.

Hmm... I doubt it. Maybe in a few cases, but probably not for the most part. If console touch controllers become "the next big thing", (which is doubtful, honestly, as most people think the WiiU is a stupid idea..) then people would probably try to create games for that market, at least a lot more than anything else.

The Skyrim UI(the original one) would be great for a touchscreen, maybe they wanted to make skyrim for the wii u, but then said "Fuck it, we'll release it now"... ;)
