Hey dude, I always do it either one and a half, or 2 towards the middle. Dont be scared of it spinning past the lead pin, just as long as it hits it, you should get a strike. It's just a case of keep on trying :)

I've managed 8 strikes in a row but I usually fluff it up at some point leaving 1~2 pins behind. For whatever reason it seems it's a 50/50 whether I get a strike or not if I put any sort of spin on the ball :(
