dude their is no value in action...
just as killing someone in the military, and killing for fun can be seen in different ways, although the action is the same
if the reason for a joke was to evoke laughter, what the hell is wrong with it, past a misunderstanding of meaning?
george carlins reason was laughter...he was an unconventional man who told jokes in an unconventional manner....
thats why he is one of the greats

Not to mention guys like Penn and Teller wouldn't be able to hold on to Bullshit! for more than two episodes, badass action flicks from the 80s such as Die Hard would be banned for nudity, language, and violence, and in general life would suck a lot more. We owe a lot to Carlin. Not only did he make us shit our pants laughing, he made us think, and he took a bullet to give us more rights. I don't think it's an exaggeration at all to call this man an American Hero, really.

IF you knew anything about Carlin at all, you'd know the joke telling wasn't the reason that guy called him a great human being. He was a great philosopher and was one of the only people who properly told it how it was and had the best theories on life and the world. Maybe study up on him sometime? you might learn something

Jokes are the gateway to laughter, which opens people up to information because they're relaxed.
I think comedic political and religious antagonisers are vital to our current situation.
Where would we all be if Carlin and Hicks never did their good work. Many of us would be still far under the table.
