Flying in a plane is 100x safer than driving your car to the variety store for a bag of chips... If you want to play the stats game more 300k people have died in auto accidents in the U.S. ALONE since 1942. The peak in 1 year for automobile fatalities was nearly 60k. 100 people a day die in the US, or roughly 1 every 11 minutes...

@xavthomas69 Okay dude...No..Flying is as safe as it can get. It isnt the planes that arent safe its the people who fly them. Airplanes are built to be safe. It isn't the manufacturer. I can pretty much guarantee that. They put those planes through tests that go 4 times beyond what they can handle. Now whether the company who buys it keeps up with maintenance is another thing. But saying to make flying safer is a very vague yet bold statement.
